Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Fencepost (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is provided by ChimeStream (“we”, “us”). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Fencepost provides AI agent identity and access management, including: unique API key generation per agent, permission scoping, audit logging, and key revocation. The Service is a management layer — we do not process, store, or inspect the content of your agents' API calls.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate registration information
  • You are responsible for securing your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service

4. API Key Responsibility

API keys generated by Fencepost are displayed once. You are responsible for storing them securely. We store only hashed versions and cannot recover lost keys. If a key is compromised, revoke it immediately through the dashboard.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal activities
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
  • Reverse engineer the Service
  • Use the Service to manage credentials for malicious AI agents
  • Share accounts or resell access without authorization

6. Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can upgrade at any time (prorated) or downgrade at the end of your billing cycle. We do not offer refunds for partial months. If payment fails, we'll notify you and give 7 days to update your payment method before restricting access to paid features.

7. Service Availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it on the Free plan. Paid plans (Growth and above) include SLA terms. We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance with 24 hours notice.

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data. We do not inspect the content of your agents' API calls.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: data loss, unauthorized access due to compromised keys (if not revoked promptly), or interruptions in service.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
